We design goods
with HEART.

Helpful

Our products give back.

A portion of each purchase supports organizations committed to education, conservation, and preservation.

Educational

Our products have a story to share.

Everything we design starts with our deep love for learning. Our extensive subject matter research results in products that have an educational component and convey accurate information (no fake quotes here).

Artful

Our products celebrate beauty and creativity.

From sketchbook drawings to digital illustrations, we love bringing ideas to life. Our passion for color, handmade textures, and beautiful materials is at the core of everything we create. In addition, our ever-expanding archive of antique books, objects, fonts, textures, and illustrations fuels our love for art and design history and inspires much of our work.

Responsible

Our products utilize responsible methods and materials.

From ethical manufacturing to recyclable packaging, we constantly look for the most responsible ways to produce, package, and ship our products. All of our products are designed, printed, and assembled in the U.S. (primarily in Kentucky), and we work with local and domestic suppliers whenever possible.

Timeless

Our products have enduring appeal.

Our designs highlight subjects that have intrigued people for hundreds of years. We strive to use words, images, and materials in a way that feels modern and rooted in history.

We are driven
by our beliefs.

We believe that people are more important than products.

We believe that our ultimate purpose on this planet is to love people and remind them why they matter. We hope that our products can 1) help people celebrate their interests and experiences in a meaningful way and 2) support meaningful causes.

We believe in leaving people, places, and things better than we found them.

From the way we treat our neighbors, to the way we care for creation, to the things we make – we believe it is all connected. We are a small part of the story, but we hope to have a positive impact on the world around us.

We believe that remembrance makes life more meaningful.

For most of us, life will not be lived on a mountaintop. That’s why we need everyday reminders of what matters to us. We hope our products help people remember where they’ve been, encourage them to keep learning, and inspire them to find wonder in the world.

We are better
together.

We met as freshmen at college orientation, went on a date a few days later, and have been inseparable ever since. As students, you could find us working together in our school’s art building. As adults, you can find us working together at our studio in Midway, Kentucky. We know that we need each other and are at our best when we work as a team.

Over the past 20 years, we’ve worked with hundreds of design clients, taught at universities, worked for museums and cultural institutions, and spent thousands of hours mentoring youth and young adults.

When we’re not in the studio coming up with new designs, you’ll find us wandering through nature, tending to our flowers, working on historic home renovations, hunting for antiques, exploring some new hobby, or encouraging the next generation of leaders.

We are truly grateful for the opportunities we’ve had to vision, create, and lead together, and we look forward to all of the adventures that lie ahead!
